Parent Participation Organization

Saint Monica’s Parent Participation Organization (P.P.O.) is a very active and vibrant element of school life. Made up of parent volunteers, the P.P.O. organizes many fundraisers throughout the year to supplement the school’s budget for field trips, provide new resources for the classroom, to recognize the good work of teachers and volunteers, and much more. Most activities, like the annual BBQ, are organized solely to put a smile on the faces of students, staff and parents and break away from the day-to-day school routine. Monthly Pizza Days and TCBY Days are held by the volunteers. Extra-curricular activities are organized during the lunch period and after school. It is the work of the PPO, in close collaboration with the Governing Board and the school administration, that adds a different dimension to life at Saint Monica.

How do I join the P.P.O.?

Each September, Saint Monica holds a General Assembly of parents in the school gym, where the members of the P.P.O. are chosen. For more information about meetings and how to join the P.P.O., please contact Saint Monica's principal.

Green Committee

An initiative of the PPO, the Green Committee was formed in 2014 to offer fundraising support to Saint Monica's excellent green initiatives. We are actively seeking ways to ‘green’ our school and to enrich the learning milieu of students by increasing their exposure to our natural environment. The Committee includes dedicated staff members, parents and members of the community who don’t mind sticking their hands in the mud! If you are interested in volunteering opportunities, please contact the school.
