Until the end of April, you can help raise funds for Summer Shelf – our campaign for a summer reading-program. You can help us ensure that students have books to read during the summer holidays, when their school libraries are closed.
We need your help in two ways:- Make an online donation to Our Lady of Pompei on the Adopt a School website.
- Spread the word about Summer Shelf to family and friends. Use your social networks, as well as your time at the water cooler.
In partnership with Montreal Hooked on Schools, invites you to participate in a “Conversation About Our School”.
We will exchange ideas, explore possible partnerships and enjoy some social time. The results of our conversation will form the basis for new project ideas we would like to bring into our school, with the focus to help students persevere in school.
The EMSB is pleased to be part of La Coalition priorité education. Boucar Diouf is the spokersperson for the Coalitiion, aimed at making education a true priority for Quebec. A petition has been initiated by the Fédération des comités de parents du Québec (FCPQ), seeking the support of a number of partners: parents, unions, principals, administrators, professionals, universities as well as the financial, cultural and community sectors.
The Coalition is requesting signatures with the goal of depositing the petition at the National Assembly this spring when the different political parties are in place.
