Angela Mancini, Chairman

Angela Mancini was first elected as an EMSB commissioner in 1998. In 2008 she was elected chair. She also has more than 25 years of professional experience in the area of health and social services, working directly with youth and families. It is this unique blend of experience which gives Angela her clear understanding of the various needs of the students and of the many challenges that the English Montreal Board faces.

Angela has a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University and a Master’s degree in public administration from University of Laval.

She is the proud mother of two daughters, both of whom graduated from the  EMSB. Having graduated from an English school herself, Angela is a strong advocate for English public education in Quebec. Angela has always been committed to community involvement. Her involvement includes coaching, mentoring young athletes, fund-raising and organizing various events for the youth in her community. Fluently trilingual she is an effective communicator and a results-oriented administrator.
