Technology Concentration Program
In the Technology Concentration students will experience basic programming and software development, robotics and coding. The Technology Concentration will give students the opportunity to build an understanding of the role played by technology and gain knowledge with a hands-on approach. They will develop quantitative reasoning and analytic skills applied in every day technology while having fun!
Main Objectives:
- Provide students with opportunities to build problem-solving skills and boost confidence through hands-on creation
- Teach the importance of precision, perseverance, and innovation in technological projects
- Foster collaboration and teamwork through group-based coding and robotics challenges
- Equip students with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to design and build functional tech solutions
What does the program offer?
- Five periods of Technology classes over a six-day cycle
- Exposure to programming, robotics, and software development
- Field trips to tech companies, innovation labs, and STEM events
- Guest speakers from the tech industry and academic institutions
- Participation in competitions such as RoboCup Quebec
- Opportunities to develop and present digital projects and prototypes
