Admissions

At Shadd Health & Business Centre, we welcome students from diverse backgrounds. To ensure your application is complete, you must provide the required original documents listed below.  

Please note that photocopies are not accepted—only original documentation will be reviewed. 

Before reviewing the requirements, please also consult our Eligibility Requirements and International Student Requirements pages for additional details that may apply to your situation.

Required Documents

If you were Born in Quebec:

  • Original Birth Certificate 
  • High School Diploma or Ministry of Education Transcript of marks  
  • Valid Medicare Card or Driver’s License
  • Work Related Documents (CV, CPR, PDSP Card, Law 90, etc.)

If you were Born in Canada (outside Quebec): 

  • Original Provincial Birth Certificate (long form)  
  • High School Diploma (province-issued) OR Transcript of marks (province-issued) OR Comparative Evaluation* for studies done outside of Canada  
  • Valid Medicare Card or driver’s license  
  • Proof of Residency: Municipal tax bill OR lease OR Revenue Quebec Notice of assessment (1 year )  
  • Bill or bank statement (to match address and name prev. No.4)  
  • Work Related Documents (CV, CPR, PDSP Card, Law 90, etc.) 

 If you were Born Outside of Canada: 

  • Canadian Citizenship Card/Document OR Valid Permanent Resident Card OR Valid IMM1000 or (IMM5292) Immigration Form.  
  • CSQ (Certificate of Selection of Quebec) or Proof of Residency: Municipal tax bill OR lease OR Revenue Quebec Notice of assessment (1 year)  
  • Bill or driver’s license or bank statement (to match address and name prev. No.2)       
  • MEQ Equivalence OR High School OR University Diploma (original and certified translation in English or French)  
  • Transcript of marks of the Diploma (prev. Nº 4) (original and certified translation English or French)    
  • Valid Medicare Card   
  • Passport  
  • Birth Certificate  
  • Work Related Documents (CV, CPR, PDSP Card, Law 90, etc.) 

If you were Accepted as a Refugee: 

  • Refugee Document  
  • Work Permit  
  • Study Permit  
  • CSQ (Certificate of Selection of Quebec)   
  • MEQ Equivalence or High School or University Diploma (original and certified translation in English or French)   
  • Transcripts of marks of the Diploma (original and certified translation English or French)
  • Valid Medicare Card  
  • Passport

  • Work Related Documents (CV, CPR, PDSP, Law 90, etc.) 
Before You Apply

All documentation must be original and presented in person. 

  • Students who completed studies outside Québec or Canada may be required to submit a Comparative Evaluation issued by the Ministère de l’Immigration, Francisation et Intégration (MIFI). 
  • International students should carefully review the International Student Requirements page for additional information on study permits and visa documentation.

Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC)

Candidates with prior experience or training relevant to the program may be eligible for credit recognition through RAC.
A vocational advisor will assess your competencies to determine full or partial recognition.
Based on the evaluation, you’ll be directed to complete only the training you still require.
