How Our Counsellors Can Support You
Our Academic & Vocational Information Counsellors are available to assist students in the following areas:
- Program Prerequisites: Meet with potential students to review admission requirements and program prerequisites.
- Career Development: Assist students in identifying and developing career goals.
- Post-Secondary Pathways: Provide information about requirements for further studies at the college or university level.
- Study Skills & Academic Success: Offer individual or group counselling to address study strategies and academic challenges.
- Employment & Career Planning: Provide guidance, resources, and information on all aspects of employment search and career planning.
- Referrals to Services: Assess individual needs and, when necessary, refer students to appropriate support services.
Loans & Bursaries
All full-time students at Shadd Health & Business Centre are eligible to apply for Quebec & Loans & Bursaries Program (Aide financière aux études – AFE).
- Our counsellors can guide you through the process, answer your questions, and clarify documentation requirements.
- Please note counsellors assist with the process, but students are responsible for completing and submitting their own applications.
