Dress Code

Everyday Classes (All Programs)

We understand that our students come from diverse backgrounds and we do not have a strict dress code for daily classes. However, to help everyone feel comfortable and ready to learn, please keep in mind these simple guidelines:

  • Choose outfits that cover undergarments and provide adequate coverage for a respectful learning environment.
  • Please avoid clothing with offensive words or images, so everyone feels welcome.
  • Hats and hoods may need to be removed indoors unless worn for religious or health reasons.

Administrative & Accounting Stage Dress Code

Students must present a professional image suitable for an office or customer-facing environment:

  • Business casual attire is required.
    • Examples: dress pants, knee-length skirts, blouses, collared shirts, sweaters, blazers.
    • Neat jeans may be allowed in workplaces that specify casual dress, but must not be ripped or overly faded.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes in good condition (e.g., flats, dress shoes, loafers).
  • Not permitted: Shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, or athletic wear.
  • Jewelry and makeup: Should be modest and appropriate for a professional setting.

  • Lab Coat: A white lab coat must be worn for all practical classes and stages. This coat is included in the registration fee.
  • Clothing: Wear neat, practical clothing under the lab coat. Avoid loose sleeves or items that may pose a safety risk.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required for safety.
  • Hair: Must be clean and tied back if long, to keep it away from the face and work area.
  • Jewelry: Keep jewelry minimal — only small stud earrings are permitted. No dangling necklaces, bracelets, or large rings.
  • Hygiene: Maintain good personal hygiene, free from strong odours or perfumes. Nails must be clean and short; nail polish and artificial nails are not permitted in lab settings.
