Pearson Turns 50

On May 8, Lester B. Pearson High School proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of memories, achievements, and community spirit. The milestone brought together past and present staff, alumni, students, and friends of the school to celebrate its rich history and lasting impact.

Among the special guests were retired administrators Dorothy Ostrowicz and Maria Palmieri, as well as former administrators Tony Pita, now Assistant Director of Educational Services at the EMSB, and Mauro Zampini, currently Director of School Organization at the EMSB. EMSB Chair Joe Ortona also addressed attendees, sharing warm remarks and reflecting on the school's important role within the EMSB community.

The celebration featured delicious food, live music, and activities for all ages, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter, memories, and school pride. As Lester B. Pearson High School looks toward the future, the event served as a fitting tribute to the generations of students, staff, and families who have contributed to its success over the past 50 years.
