Three-year STEAM revamp … and then there were
Montreal - Thursday, May 1, 2025

After witnessing the success of East Hill’s first year in its “three-year STEAM revamp,” other schools showed interest in joining. As a result, Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Honoré Mercier also secured approval to take part in this innovative initiative.

STEAM education—focused on collaboration, interdisciplinary learning, hands-on projects, and creative problem-solving—has existed within the EMSB for nearly a decade. This new revamp introduces a more systemic, focused approach. All teachers will participate in several days of professional development annually, working closely with Pedagogical Consultants to build a permanent bank of STEAM-based Learning and Evaluation Situations (LESs).
