Description:

English and the World of Work is a 50-hour course, the second of three Secondary III English Language Arts courses. To achieve the two competencies targeted in the course, adult learners will analyze and practise a variety of work-related texts, mostly informative, with some of the texts including explanatory or persuasive elements. By the end of the course, learners will be able to report on jobs they have chosen to research, to produce résumés and letters of application, and to take part in job interviews.
