For Kindergarten and Cycle 1 (grades 1 and 2), most of the instruction is in the French language, including music. It follows the basic Kindergarten and Primary programs outlined in QEP (Quebec Education Program). Only the Ethics and Religious Culture Program is taught in English in Cycle 1.
In Cycles 2 and 3 (grades 3–6) the program is more or less divided equally between English and French. Language Arts, Mathematics and Science are taught in English. Art, Social Studies and Ethics are taught in French.
Parents are encouraged to support and enrich the school program by providing the children with various opportunities to use French in the community, extra-curricular activities, and the home. Any activity which broadens the child's knowledge and understanding of French culture helps to ensure their academic success.
Starting in Kindergarten, all students follow a rich Science and Technology curriculum. Our Science and Technology Lab has just been fully renovated. Laptops, Ipads and other technological tools are available to students for daily use. Kindergarten and Cycle 1 students receive one weekly period of Science and Technology. Cycles 2 and 3 students receive one period of Science, one period of Technology and one period of Robotics each week, and the three are regularly integrated with each other. All students learn about digital citizenship and Internet safety.
