Educational Resources for Learning at Home

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Dear EMSB parents, students and staff:

During this time of school closures, don’t forget that the EMSB has two great resource pages available for you:

Educational Links

On the EMSB website, there is a list of educational websites that you can use at home! They have been hand-picked for elementary and secondary subjects by EMSB Educational Consultants and teaching staff. You can find this list on the main EMSB website under “Parents and Community” and then “Educational Links”. Here is the direct link:

www.emsb.qc.ca/emsb/community/links

EMSB Virtual Library

Also, EMSB has a Virtual Library full of free resources that you can enjoy at home! Once you go to the Virtual Library webpage, here are some resources that you might want to try:

www.virtuallibrary.emsb.qc.ca

Sora
(ebooks and audiobooks for high school students and staff)

TumbleBooks
(ebooks/videos for elementary)

Rat de bibliothèque
(French ebooks for elementary)

The Montreal Gazette
(Free access to the Montreal Gazette online newspaper!)

Le Journal de Montréal
(Free access to the Journal de Montreal online newspaper!)

How to Access Virtual Library Resources

To access the resources in the Virtual Library, you will need a password sheet. The password sheet can be found on the Virtual Library homepage by clicking on the link: “Home access information is provided by logging into the EMSB ePortal.” After you click on the link, you will be prompted to enter your EMSB email and password in order to view the password sheet.

If you have any questions, please email virtuallibrary@emsb.qc.ca.
