LaurenHill Student Fundraiser Set for Ecuador Trip

Montreal - Thursday, June 1, 2017

During the 2018 March Break, seven LaurenHill students (Secondary I, II and III) will be journeying to Ecuador alongside two teachers for a ME to WE Service Learning Trip.  These are about people, connections, learning and self-discovery. They’re also about global communities working together to change the world. Students will broaden their perspectives on the world as they explore a new culture and volunteer on sustainable development projects, while working side-by-side with local communities.

Since 2013 LHA students have been raising funds for WE Villages in a school group called Charity Water. These students care about bringing clean, safe, drinking water to the entire world. During the 2016-2017 academic year students raised funds to send to Ecuador to help rehabilitate a well and they cannot wait to travel to a similar location to further their compassionate learning.
